Intermodal Transport System ACTS
Combined transport using the ACTS (Abroll-Container-Transport-System) represents an efficient, unique combination of road and rail transport advantages. These advantages exist even in comparison to standard combined transport (which utilizes interchangeable superstructures or ISO containers). This is by virtue of the fact that it requires no permanent, expensive, stationary equipment in the form of equipped container terminals, and is executable on almost any railroad siding. Only a reinforced surface is needed to transfer ACTS containers from rail cars to trucks and back.
