Railway Container Shipment
January 2nd became an important day in the area of container transport for Advanced World Transport a. s. (former OKD, Doprava, a. s.).On this day we started to transport container trains between German border station Bad Schandau and Mělník. The trains run from the port of Rotterdam to the container terminal in Mělník for the ERS Railways Company six times a week in each direction. To transport these trains, we use the 753.7 series locomotives, which can provide pulling to the transfer track of the MIT (Mělník Intermodal Terminal), that is connected to the non-electrified tracks at the
Mělník railway station. These single driving units thus fulfill all the customer requirements - great accuracy of transport with the shortest possible transportation time.
