The leading transport and logistics group Advanced Transport World (AWT Group) can use now a single type of locomotives in all Central European railways. AWT fleet will be used now more efficiently and for general purposes. AWT will use two modernized locomotive 753.7 III on tracks in the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Poland and Hungary. The locomotives met all the requirements to get an approval of the Railway Authorities in Poland and Hungary for the operation on local railway tracks.

In the last week of July this year, AWT Čechofracht concluded the licensing partnership with CS Express, a.s. The Czech and Slovak inter-connection of both companies´ distribution system will have a number of advantages for common customers. The network of sales and service offices (known as depots), flexibility and offer of services with added value have been extended. Leading transport and logistic group Advanced World Transport (hereinafter referred to as AWT Group) has new Chief Operating Officer since June. His name is Sonny Sonnberger (53), former vice-president of Menzies Aviation USA.

In his position Sonnberger will be responsible for operations and development of the railway and wagon repair shops or reclamation works. Department of purchasing and procurement and assets management of AWT Group shall also fall within his competence.

The group Advanced World Transport (hereinafter only AWT Group) organized among employees a fund-raising campaign, its payoff will support their colleagues who deal with the consequences of floods. The amount that will be collected among employees will be matched by the company, which means double. Also AWT trade unions will contribute to the fund.

In forthcoming months will fully start the training project of the employees of the leading domestic transport company Advanced World Transport (hereinafter AWT). More than 9.5 mil. CZK accrued from the European social fund and state budget is reserved for education and development of the employees at all levels.

From the accrued resources the company created eight training programs in total. Courses and training of engine drivers, welding courses and tests, improvement of managerial, sales, communication or presentation skills or language courses are offered to the employees.
